Claim Processing Correction: Non-Covered Service Denials

Dear Provider Partners, 

Wellcare By Meridian has identified a claim processing error that resulted in certain claims being incorrectly denied as non-covered services. We appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve this issue. 

Issue Summary: 

  • Certain claims processed prior to February 11, 2026, were erroneously denied as non-covered services. 
  • The system issue was corrected on February 11, 2026. 
  • All impacted claims have been identified and are currently being reprocessed and re-adjusted. 
  • Claims submitted on or after February 11, 2026, should be processed as intended. 

Next Steps

  • No action is required by providers at this time. 
  • Please allow 20-30 days for the reprocessing to be completed. 
  • Updated remittance advice will reflect the corrected processing once finalized.
